Fabulous paintings of our beauitful Pet Kids

Greg Gillespie recently completed two beauitful oil paintings of our pets; one of our cat, Megsie and one of our two Golden Retrievers, Jasper & Harry Potter and we would like to share our experience of having these pet portraits painted by Greg.

We found Greg to be a likable gently man more importantly so did our pets. He visited our home and with much patience and care photographed them in various areas and poses until he had some good material with which to work - this was no easy task!!

The paintings were ready for us on our return after a month away. Before presenting us with the completed works Greg emailed photots of the paintings for our approval. We loved them, but when seeing them in reality we were over the moon. He captured not only the likeness but also their personalities and spirits.

The paintings have added a uniques dimension to the room giving a very personal feel to the space. We just love looking at them; they give us such joy, particularly as Jasper died just a few days after the photo shoot so they are now even more precious to us.

We are so glad we had these portraits done and thank Greg for his professionalism and most of all his amazing talent.

For Anyone Who Truly Loves Their Pet

Greg was great to work with right from the start. He listened to what I wanted and why I wanted it.

Our dog 'Doyle' is a guide dog puppy in training and he has gone on to his next stage of training so this was a great way to remember him. It also made a great gift for my mums birthday. :)

Greg really captured Doyle's personality and his puppy attitude in the painting too.! :D

Ruairidh Lives On

Dear Greg

The emotion that my wife and self have had since receiving the portrait of "Ruairidh" in Spain, is that he has been reincarnated and sits with us, his eyes following us about the room.

You are a wonderfully gifted artist.

Our other animal, a Spanish cat, was truly amazed to see Ruairidh returning from the dead! She sat almost traumatised, sniffing from a distance but sure - "he" was there. You have truly captured his expression.

As you are no doubt aware, Ruairidh was not merely a dog - he was our "only" son!!

My Pet Lucy

"Lucy my Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel was 8 years old when I had to have her put to sleep. I was in her cage with her on my lap when she died and it was the most devestating thing I have ever had to do.

I saw Greg's paintings in the Pet Shop and asked him to paint my Lucy with some photographs I gave him. When I saw the review he sent me over the email I cried because it was just "my Lucy". He captured her in every way.

Greg was so helpful, and made sure that he was painting Lucy in the position I wanted. We are having the painting framed at the moment, and even the Framer said what a lovely painting. When my son and daughter saw it they both said 'That's Lucy'. So I ;say,'Thank you Greg' "
